Tasting Note: The nose denotes intense, clean and pleasing aromas of pear, banana, apple, peach and wistaria, with almost imperceptible alcohol pungency. The mouth is intense with perceptible alcohol pungency which tends to dissolve rapidly, good correspondence to the nose, good roundness and pleasing sweet hint. Tasting Note: If I were to use one word to describe the quality of Henry's wines, it would be "consistency". Year in, year out the quality is solid. This coupled with the great 02 vintage, has produced reds which are money in the bank. The wine possesses a deep cherry colour with a nose of green tobacco, smoke, cassis, cherries and chocolate. Torrontés is thought to be related to the Muscatel grapes and is grown in the Iberian Peninsula in Spain as well as in Argentina. It has become strongly identified with Argentina and grows particularly successfully in the Mendoza. Well-balanced between fruit and acidity, Torrontés is very aromatic, with scents of peach, rose, and jasmine, and tastes like a sweet wine, even though it is very dry. Those who like it, love it. Château Bouscasse is a property owned by Madiran's own Alain Brumont, who is also notably responsible for Château Montus. Today, his successs is largely credited for reinvigorating the region with his properties accounting for more than a tenth of the region's vineyards.
