HACIENDA VALVARÉS 2012

DOCa Rioja, Spain

423509 (XD)

750 mL $18.95

2

TASTING NOTE: Dark ruby. Heady, exotically

perfumed red berry liqueur, floral pastille and

incense aromas are lifted by bright mineral

and spice notes. Silky, sweet and broad on the

palate, offering nicely concentrated raspberry

and floral pastille flavors and a jolt of vanilla.

Supple tannins give shape to the very long,

fruit-driven finish, which shows lingering

smoke and allspice notes. This wine was aged

for a year in new French oak barrels followed

by six more months of rest in large oak vats,

also French. Drinking window: 2019-2025.
