SPIRITS

BRANDY

SANCHEZ ROMATE HNOS CARDENAL

MENDOZA SOLERA GRAN RESERVA

BRANDY

Brandy de Jerez, Spain

TASTING NOTE: Butterscotch galore! This sweet

and beautifully balanced Brandy, made with PX

(Pedro Ximenez) grapes from the Jerez region of

Spain, would be dynamite with holiday fruit cake, rum

cake, or while enjoying a fine Cuban cigar, or one

of my favourite non-Cuban sticks, a 1992 Vintage

Rocky Patel. Very impressive Brandy that I’d highly

recommend enjoying this holiday season. Score:

PO’ DI POLI MORBIDA SMOOTH

MOSCATO GRAPPA

Product of Italy

TASTING NOTE: Jacopo Poli, one of the world’s most

famous grappa producers today made a special

effort to work with muscat. He felt the aromatic grape

aromas of this varietal make it distinguishable even

to the neophyte. This beautifully perfumed distillate

of the pomace of orange blossom muscat and white

muscat is distilled in antique copper pot stills. It’s

clear, colourless and fragrant with a perfumed nose

of flowers, fresh hay and summer meadows. Very

pretty, elegant with a flowery taste of orange, grapes

and blossoms it’s distinctive and memorable. Score:
