UNCORK SOMETHING GREAT • SATURDAY, DECEMBER 9, 2017

TAHBILK CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2014

Nagambie Lakes, Victoria

TASTING NOTE: Estate-grown, fermented in 150yo

open wooden vats then matured for 18 months in

French oak (20% new). Has the same fruit freshness

as its Shiraz sibling, starting with the colour and

finishing with bright acidity. Will be deceptively long

lived, the modest alcohol a boon. Gold medal

Queensland Wine Show ’16. Drink By: 2034.

PETER LEHMANN THE BAROSSAN

SHIRAZ 2015

Barossa, South Australia

TASTING NOTE: Dense, with sink-your-teeth-into-

add aromatic interest, but the focus and purity of the

fruit flavors is most powerful on the long finish. Drink
