My wine journey began back in my first

year of college, trying pairings with my

simple meals. I lived in Barcelona for a

time after graduation and that really

opened my eyes to wine and food

culture. Today, I try to plan my vacations

around what new area I’d like to

explore. My last trip was Piemonte and

Provence, this year it will be Albania –

yes, Albania! Outside of my professional

wine education, I learned by asking

way too many questions at wineries,

learning from the people who made

the wines I loved.”

CALITERRA TRIBUTO SINGLE

VINEYARD CARMENÈRE 2015

Colchagua Valley, Chile

“Chile has really expanded their regional

designations, and producers are eager to

highlight the different characters and

expressions this allows them to offer. This

single-vineyard wine

is a wonderful

example, and its dark fruit, pepper and spicy

notes are a great introduction to Carmenère.”
