Ontarioís sunny, warm (but not too hot) 2016 vintage struck the just-right balance for ripening red wine grapes like Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot gradually and evenly, resulting in bold flavours without the wines losing their natural elegance. You could tuck this wine in the cellar for a few years, but itís delicious right now if you canít bear the wait.

TASTING NOTE: This single-vineyard wine blends 55% Cabernet Sauvignon and 45% Merlot from Ontarioís warm 2016 vintage. Itís approachable, bright and fresh with blackberry, plum, dark cherry and juicy cassis backed by a sprinkling of sweet spices lingering in a long, chewy finish. Good value. The producer suggests pairing it with grilled or roasted meats such as duck, lamb, beef and wild game. (Vintages panel, Aug. 2017)
