On the palate, it’s medium-bodied, ample and layered, with velvety tannins, succulent acids and lovely length and grain on the tangy finish. Follow this young classic for the next 15 years. Terrific aromas of crushed black currants, blueberries, and flowers with hints of sweet tobacco. Roses continue to exude opulence and class. Full body, superb balance of ultra-fine tannins and vibrant acidity. Complex aftertaste of black fruits and citrus fruit. Extremely persistent. So approachable now and enjoyable. But will be even better in 2019 and beyond. 79% cabernet sauvignon, 7% cabernet franc, 6%merlot, 6% petit verdot, 2%malbec. This will always be beautiful to drink. This wine displays notes of wood spice, earth, black and red currants, licorice and tobacco leaf. It is full-bodied, has excellent purity, and was bottled with no fining or filtration. This is an impressive, concentrated wine to drink over the next 15 or so years. Drink Date: 2016‹2031. Suave, smoke-accented aromas of raspberry preserves, pungent flowers, incense and cola, along with a hint of allspice in the background. Sappy and expansive on the palate, offering intense red berry, allspice and floral pastille flavors that are sharpened by a jolt of zesty acidity. Shows superb clarity and spicy bite on a long, penetrating finish shaped by silky, even tannins. The interplay of power and finesse here is really something. Drinking window: 2020‹2027. It knocks it out of the park with its dark, savory, mineral- laced fruit and is full-bodied, deep, rich and concentrated on the palate. This beautiful wine has building structure and ripe tannin, and it’s going to have two decades or more of longevity. Drink Date: 2017‹2034.
