MIKE WEIR ESTATE WINERY
Mike Weir has found a way to bring
together his love of wine and his desire
to contribute something meaningful to
the community. The net proceeds from
his hugely successful wines go directly
to the Mike Weir Foundation which supports
children in distress. Currently, the
wines are being made at Creekside
Estate Winery, but Weir’s new state of
the art facility is due to open soon.

TASTING NOTE: The wine has a deep straw core, holding its colour to the rim. The aromas are of smoke, citrus with floral and light spice notes. The palate is dense and rich, with a good replay of flavours and a refreshing vein of acidity. This wine has enough density and acid for short- to mid-term cellaring (2-4 years) or could be enjoyed tonight with charcuterie. (VINTAGES panel, July 2007
