PENINSULA RIDGE
ESTATES WINERY
Norman Beal is the local boy who
went out into the world to make
it big, only to realize there is no
place like home. After scouring
the continent, in search of a
location to fulfill his dream of
opening a winery, he was convinced
to take another look at
Ontario. Impressed with how
far the Ontario wine industry had
come in the past 15 years, he
returned home for good in 2000
and transformed a 60-acre fruit
farm into the majestic Peninsula
Ridge Estates Winery.
“After developing a true passion for
wine in my early twenties, I was
driven to be a part of the region’s
winemaking success story.”
—Norm Beal,
President and CEO,
Peninsula Ridge
Estates Winery
Ontario has demonstrated an ability to produce Viognier that displays the classic rich, floral fruitiness for which the grape is known, while preserving the acid levels that are so often missing in warm climate versions. Offering intense floral notes with white peach and melon on the nose, the Peninsula Ridge Viognier has a luscious mouth-coating texture and a fresh clean finish. Perfect on an Indian Summer afternoon with a selection of sandwiches and fresh fruit.
