Mauro Scarsellone is a first generation
Italian-Canadian who rose from humble
beginnings to become a successful
accountant. But his parents’ agricultural
roots ran deep, and his personal
dream was to open a winery. In 1995,
he and his sister Anna achieved that
dream when they opened Ridgepoint
Wines. Mauro combines his passion
for Italian wines with the Niagara
Escarpment’s unique terroir to make
some of the most distinctive wines
in Ontario.

Special care was taken with this rosé to capture the character of Pinot Noir. The grapes were hand harvested and the juice was inoculated with a special yeast designed to bring out the red fruit flavours of the variety. Loads of red cherry and strawberry aromas and flavours are backed up by a refreshing vein of acidity. This excellent rosé is flavourful enough to match with grilled pork chops with Provençal herbs.
