TASTING NOTE: Although this 100% Merlot possesses 15% alcohol (one of the highest I tasted), it is not the least bit hot. Strikingly elegant, with delicious red and black fruits, good acidity, and sweet tannin, it is a round, layered, impressive Cotes de Francs to enjoy over the next 7-8 years. (Tasted two times.) TASTING NOTE: A solidly made wine from the well-known, highly renowned team of Nicolas Thienpont and Stephane Derenoncourt, this blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Malbec is soft, round, and easy to drink. It reveals plenty of dark fruits intermixed with notions of earth and spice. Consume it over the next 7-8 years. (Tasted three times.) Drink: 2010-2018. Score: 87-88 (RP)
